Session description
In this session, There’s an Android app for that, you’ll learn more about the various tablet types and their specifications. You’ll learn how to complete basic actions related to the device, how it operates in terms of navigation and apps, and how to change the tablet orientation. Furthermore, you’ll gain an understanding of the various types of connectivity and learn how to manage data usage and the battery power of your device effectively.
By the end of the session, the participant will:
- have knowledge of the various tablet types and their specifications
- be able to complete basic actions related to the device, for example, turning it on and off, using the camera, etc.
- understand how a tablet device operates in terms of navigation and apps
- be able to change the orientation (landscape/portrait) of their device
- understand the different types of connectivity
- appreciate data usage and how to manage it effectively
- appreciate how long a battery on the tablet device lasts, and how to manage it effectively.
Assessment Task
You will be asked to complete a summative task at the end of the session. You have a copy of this task in your Class Notes for your reference only. Please note that you must complete the Badge Assessment Task online. No printed, scanned, emailed, or faxed copies of the task will be accepted.
Notional Learning Time
When you get your certificate, you will notice that we have indicated Notional Learning Time. This is the amount of time we expect a learner to spend on achieving the outcomes of this session. It is made up of the two hours of the training here, and then the time taken to complete your Badge Assessment Task. It is an estimate and you may find you spend a little less time, or perhaps a little more.
