Welcome to Implementing digital education in schools from a change management mindset, Level 3.
During this session, you will learn about project management as an academic field, as well as look at what projects are. You will then apply the theoretical knowledge to prepare your school for implementing digital education from a change management mindset.
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- have a basic understanding of project management concepts (project life cycle, project scope management, project time management)
- understand the components of an effective change management mindset implementation plan for digital education
- have written a draft of your own implementation plan
- be ready to implement the plan at your school
As you go along, you’ll notice that some topics are longer than others, and might consist of a number of lessons.
During the course of each topic or lesson, you’ll see something to be done.
It could be an activity or a quiz. For this course, you will do several practical activities. Most of these activities will be in video format, as part of the course. Instructions and space for making notes and writing down answers are provided in your Class Notes.
We suggest that you download the Class Notes first so you can follow along during the training.
We realise that many of us prefer to save paper, but for this particular course, we highly recommend that you print out the Class Notes or keep an electronic set of notes open on a device that is separate from the one on which you are doing the course.
The concepts dealt with in this course are complex, and you may want to rewatch some of the videos, or to pause while you are watching. Please remember that you can always return to watch any video again later.
We recommend that you take your time with this course. Don’t try to finish each level in one go. Rather take more time to deeply engage with and reflect on the topics you are learning about.
In some instances, you will receive instructions during the course of a video, where you will have to pause the video, follow the instruction in writing, and then continue playing the video.
Please also download the Project Plan Template. It is printed in the Class Notes, but also available in a downloadable Word Document for you to work in. You will use this to develop your project’s implementation plan.
