Session description

In this session, Making the Android tablet device work for you – calendars and data management, you will learn more about your calendar and contacts apps. You’ll also understand why it’s important to back up data, learn more about online storage, and appreciate the need to keep personal and school data separate.

By the end of the session, the participant will:

1. understand how the calendar app and reminders work
2. know how to add advanced information to contacts
3. appreciate the importance of backing up data
4. be knowledgeable on the types of online storage that is available, as well as the size of storage that free accounts include
5. appreciate the need to keep personal and school data separate.

Assessment Task

You will be asked to complete a summative task at the end of the session. You have a copy of this task in your Class Notes for your reference only. Please note that you must complete the Badge Assessment Task online. No printed, scanned, emailed, or faxed copies of the task will be accepted.
