Digital learning in schools, Session 3: Managing and using ICTs in schools

Welcome to Session 3 of the Digital learning in schools Course. In this session, you will learn more about ICT Policies that will help you effectively manage and use ICTs in your school.

By the end of the session, you will:

• consolidate your understanding of what ICT is in a school environment
• understand what ICT Management Policies are and why we need them to be effective
• know the role stakeholders play in ICT management
• have insight into how to plan a policy for your school
• have a draft of your own ICT Management Policy
• have a draft of your own ICT Implementation Plan
• have a draft of your own Acceptable Use Policy

We will cover four key issues in this session.

• ICT management and policy planning.
• The ICT Management Policy.
• The ICT Implementation Plan.
• The ICT Acceptable Use Policy.
