Welcome to Big data – the fourth session of Course 10: Teaching for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This session’s contents include:

  1. Introduction to big data, its purpose, related skills and the opportunities it brings to teaching and learning  
  2. Identification of the current and potential future use of big data technologies and activities in an educational context 
  3. Experiencing big data in an educational context.

Assessment Task

You will be asked to complete a summative task at the end of the session. You have a copy of this task in your Class Notes for your reference only. Please note that you must complete the Badge Assessment Task online. No printed, scanned, emailed, or faxed copies of the task will be accepted.
